Mission

Removing the guesswork from ruggedizing autonomous hardware.

Boilerplate

Super Foam Corp makes a patented, PFAS-free microcellular polyurea elastomer that protects drones, robots and battery systems from impact, heat and vibration. Based in Riverside, California, the company produces its material on its own automated line.

Super Foam Corp is an advanced materials manufacturer based in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. Its mission is removing the guesswork from ruggedizing autonomous hardware. The company’s microcellular polyurea elastomer, absorbs 71.7 kJ/m³ of impact energy in internal testing, recovers 98% of its volume after a 25 m/s projectile impact and contains no PFAS. The material is covered by a granted patent and was developed at San Diego State University; Super Foam holds the exclusive license to commercialize it. Super Foam also designed its own automated production machine, for which a patent application is pending. The company is led by CEO Zef Neemuchwala and is a graduate of the NavalX Crucible program, supported by UC Riverside’s ExCITE incubator and EPIC SBDC.
